Founded in 2010 as a direct to consumer paddle board company, Tower attracted an investment from Mark Cuban on season 3 of Shark Tank and quickly began a path of rocket ship growth. In 2014, Tower was named the #1 fastest growing private company in San Diego. It ranked #239 on the INC 500 list of America’s fastest growing companies the following year. In 2016, Tower was named to Internet Retailer’s “Hot 100” list of the world’s most innovative e-retailers.
As innovative in its workspace as in its marketing, Tower moved its entire staff to a 5-hour workday in 2015. A book about the experiment introduced the innovative work life balance concept to over 10 million people in over 20 countries worldwide.

Today, Tower has expanded beyond paddle boards into a holistic beach lifestyle company offering direct to consumer value in a growing selection of beach lifestyle products including: surfboards, skateboards, sunglasses, beach cruisers, and most recently electric bikes with TowerElectricBikes.com. The small, but dedicated Tower team works out of the Tower Beach Club on the beach in Mission Bay San Diego, which serves triple duty as a retail showroom, the corporate offices, and a high-end event space.
