Add your diverse perspective to the investment team at Mark Cuban Companies.

We’re looking for people from diverse backgrounds to support our due diligence processes as we evaluate new investment opportunities that are brought to us.

As an investor, you will analyze new opportunities and support our existing portfolio with a focus on working with underrepresented founders and companies serving diverse customers.

Candidates must have an extensive knowledge of accounting and finance and comfort reaching out and engaging with entrepreneurs.

Initial job responsibilities.

We say initial here because careers at MCC are fluid. Our most successful hires are self-starters, constant learners, and ready to adapt at a moment’s notice. Two days are rarely the same, but here are some things you can generally expect to work on when you get started:

  1. Perform research and analysis of startup investment opportunities:
    1. Critically review pitch decks, business plans, and financial statements
    2. Interview founders to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business situation and business model
    3. Conduct market and competitive research
    4. Validate the startup’s approach to technology and/or development
    5. Conduct comprehensive evaluation of investment risks
    6. Write an investment recommendation based on all available information
  2. We take an “all-hands-on-deck” approach and attitude to supporting Mark’s portfolio, but initially this role will also focus on:
    1. Conduct market and customer analysis with focus on minority demographics
    2. Assist companies with customer engagement, sales, and marketing
    3. Help companies recruit and hire diverse talent

In order for your application to be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Graduate of a public college/university/junior college OR any HBCU
  2. Degree in business OR at least 3 years previous experience in a finance role
  3. Extensive accounting and finance knowledge

To apply, submit some basic information and a sample investment recommendation here.

If we’re interested in learning more, we’ll reach out and ask for your resume.
