Rebel Cheese
Rebel Cheese makes dairy-free artisan cheese using traditional cheesemaking methods. Every wheel is cultured and aged by hand from organic cashews, including a cave-aged Brie tended daily. The result belongs in the specialty cheese case, not the vegan aisle.
The range runs from that bloomy, cave-aged Brie to smoked cheddar and tomato herb fromage. Founded in Austin, Rebel Cheese is available at hundreds of stores nationwide including Whole Foods, through its cheese club, and at its New York deli.
The cheeses have earned a special mention in Time’s Best Inventions and coverage in The New York Times.
