Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamps

AI Bootcamp Initiative

Teaching basic AI concepts to underserved high school students.

The Mark Cuban Foundation’s AI Bootcamp Initiative host free introductory Artificial Intelligence Bootcamps for underserved high school students to increase awareness and understanding of AI concepts.

Founded by Mark Cuban in 2019, the AI Bootcamps Initiative has hosted multiple free camps teaching AI to public school students in Dallas, Texas. This year, the Foundation will be hosting five bootcamps for students across the country.

The camps are introductory and accessible to any student with an interest in technology. Students do not need any familiarity with computer science or programming to attend.

The curriculum teaches both concepts and skills. Over the course of five half-days, students learn what AI is and isn’t, where they already interact with AI in their own lives, the ethical implications of AI systems, and much more. Students also learn how to use Microsoft’s cloud computing tools to build their own AI applications.
